Yamaha Raptor The idea of reverse is a strange, almost unfathomable concept to most two-wheeled riders. Save for the biggest of street cruisers, the mythical reverse is absent from the world of motorcycles. Well that's not the case on a quad.

Reverse is alive in the four-wheeled world. A handy and often necessary feature, Dr. D's (which stands for Dubach Racing Development) Reverse Lever Kit for Yamaha Raptors aims to take the hassle out of riding backwards. Doug Dubach is a famous motocross racer/product tester turned businessman supreme. In addition to his popular line of motorcycle and quad exhaust systems, the company is known for some really innovative (yet simple) products like this piece.

If you own a Raptor, I'm sure (at least I hope) you have figured out that you have to reach down to the side of your ride to switch it into backwards mode. While this is probably done as a way to keep people from accidentally hitting it while pinned in third gear, if you are riding a Raptor you probably know what you are doing and would not do that anyway.

This kit mounts a thumb-activated lever right next to your throttle so you don't ever have to take your hands off the bars to pop it into reverse. Installation is as simple as attaching a cable and a few bolts, and construction is top-notch as it's machined from billet aluminum. The bright red also adds a nice touch of style. So if you've ever been annoyed by having to move so much to get your Raptor in reverse, Dr. D's kit will help you stop burning those unnecessary calories by allowing you to take care of it with just one finger.

And even if you're not riding a Raptor, this reverse kit will work on a few other models, too.
