As more and more motorcyclists hit the roads each year, there are bound to be new and eager companies that see the need for riding gear. REV’IT! may not have as long and detailed of a history as other manufactures out there, but in their time on the market, they’ve grown substantially as a quality competitor to give bikers more choices in what they spend their hard-earned money on.
History
REV’IT! may not be a company that has been around for decades, but since their introduction in 1995, they’ve managed to build a reputation for their products worldwide. Each and every piece of safety gear that they produce have taken “countless hours” of research and development to perfect and make available for use on the track or everyday street riding. Like an automobile company, each new year brings a new collection of gear that uses the most advanced manufacturing techniques with lighter and stronger materials. REV’IT!’s goals are to redefine the industry standards in motorcycle gear. Their U.S. office is currently based out of Brooklyn, New York.
Suits and Jackets
REV’IT! builds gear ranging from full racing suits to functional underwear. Their leather suits contain features like perforated EVA foam, Manaco Performance Cowhide, and Lorica panels. Popular models are the One Piece Tarmac and Silica suits. They don’t offer full suits for women yet, but they do offer the Ladies Phoenix Jacket and Ladies Raven riding pants that have some of the same stats.
Other Gear
REV’IT! has a decent selection of riding pants, gloves, and boots for both men and women that all offer great protection. They also feature gear that is designed for all weather situations. Some of their products are even uni-sex, which helps cross the void between those who may be in between traditional sizing charts. One such glove is the Alaska GTX, which features Thermolite insulation and is engineered to balance protection and performance for a great all around winter glove.
REV’IT!, with its international recognition and promise to use quality leathers and fabrics to build its army of riding gear, will be one of those companies that continues to grow in popularity throughout the years to come.
