Shifter Skinz Motorcycle Shoe & BootTennis shoes and shifter knobs are things that should never really meet face to face. The tennis shoe, made of lightweight material, is easily eaten or mangled when it comes in constant contact with the steel shifter, and sometimes it seems like too much work to pull your boots out of the closet just for a quick ride. After going through a couple pairs of shoes, you might consider a little something to help protect them.

These Shifter Skinz from Shu-Band-It are designed to put on and take off easily, as well as any size and type of shoe. The wrap-around feature is quick and makes sure that the Skinz won't slide off while you're riding, or fall off while you're walking around. You can't even tell that they're on half the time, and the other half of the time you realize that something so simple is saving your shoes from getting eaten by the shifter. The Shifter Skinz shouldn't take the place of a good pair of riding boots, but sometimes (and I'm guilty of it too) you just want to jump on the bike and go without putting on all the gear. The Skinz are super compact and can fit in your jacket if you don't have a trunk to leave them in, so there's not really an excuse for not having them with you. They're available in 8 different colors, too. If you find yourself going though shoes because you scuff and tear yours with the shifter knob, it might be a good idea for you to throw some Shifter Skinz on them.
