Cardo Scala Rider Q2 Helmet HeadsetThis is the do-it-all headset you've been waiting for. You have been waiting for that, haven't you?

This is the successor to the popular Scala Rider Helmet Headset from Cardo Wireless. This new Q2 version allows you to listen to GPS instructions, communicate with a passenger, make mobile phone calls and listen to the built-in FM radio. It also has improved battery life over its predecessor as well as supporting the new Bluetooth version 2.0 standard.

Inter-bike communication supports up to three riders within a 1,600 foot range. In practice, that spec is only for wide-open terrain. In urban environments, you'll likely experience about half of that range.

Communication is full-duplex -- not the walkie-talkie single-duplex method where one person has to stop talking to let the other person start. If you like to interrupt your partner, this is the headset for you!

In addition, both the rider and passenger can independently use the FM radio or the mobile phone connectivity.

Note, however, that only one audio connection is allowed at a time, so don't expect to have three-way conference calls or to listen to GPS directions while talking on your mobile phone.

Finally, the speaker adjusts its volume automatically, depending on the noise level of your surroundings, so you don't need to be constantly fiddling with the volume buttons. These headsets are compatible with older versions of the Scala Rider, though the range is even more limited when using these older models.
