Motorcycle Helmet Decal Kit

Applied Graphics Black Vinyl Reflective Tape

Posted by

Motorcycle Helmet Decal Kit I wish I'd found out about this helmet decal kit a couple months ago. I spent an hour cutting strips of reflective tape to put together a halfway decent pattern on my own helmet.

I realized that, in the dark of night, drivers could see the spot of my tail light and nothing else. Safety is partially about psychology; no one cares if they run a red dot off the road, but when you start to resemble a person with a head, suddenly the same act starts to look like manslaughter. Okay, that's a little extreme, but you get the idea.

The Applied Graphics decal kit turns my hour of designing, cutting, and placing into a 3-minute job. The kit comes with 22 precut strips of DOT approved 7-year exterior grade reflective 3M Scotchlite vinyl. These pieces can be arranged at your pleasure in any pattern you can think up. There will be plenty to cover your helmet and then your buddy's helmet when he tells you what a good idea he thinks they are.

Putting together a design will add to your helmet's style rather than many other reflective stickers that just look like safety measures. For a few dollars below $30, my cut-and-stick method with reflective tape was about 1/3 the cost, and there was more room for creativity with my exacto knife. On the other hand, the quality of these decals is far better than what I used. I'm already seeing some peeling. So, there are alternatives, but this is quality -- quick, easy, and will dramatically increase your visibility.

  1. Reflective Lightning Motorcycle Helmet Decal by Applied Graphics | Helmet Safety Accesory Kit, White Says:

[...] It's really not hard. In fact, if you're not gifted with the ability to come up with cool designs, Applied Graphics will sell you one of theirs. I happen to like the white lightning bolts (though I'm not a huge Charger fan). These pre-cut graphics come in a set of 4 pairs (8 graphics total) and are super-reflective at night. The decal kit comes with enough to cover a full-face helmet, or two open-face helmets. Don't be like Skippy; be seen at night so you don't get run over by big trucks. If you're not thrilled with the lightning bolts and prefer to make up your own design, check these out too. [...]
