Kuryakyn Fork Skins If you are drawn to the gleam of chrome like a moth to fire, you will appreciate Kuryakyn Fork Skins. Instead of paying for (and waiting for) your front end to be dismantled and chrome-plated, you can put Fork Skins on at home in about 20 minutes.

Fork Skins are chromed attachments that go over your lower fork legs, thus the somewhat suggestive name. The Skins also come with a chrome fork brace that will tie the fork sliders together and give you greater control and a smoother ride. So, you can tell yourself that these are practical rather than just really, really pretty.

These Skins will add a little extra shine to Harley-Davidson 39mm front end models, or unshrouded 41mm front end models. Kuryakyn recommends these Skins for FXR, Dyna, XL, FXST, FXDWG, and FXWG models.

Coverage accessories are often made cheaply with the concept of disposability, but Fork Skins are made to last with the same care you give the rest of your chrome. Fork Skins cost around $175. I tend to be tightfisted, but when it comes to the look of your bike I hold no opinion on price. Everyone has the right to spend their hard-earned wages on aesthetics.

Skins would be a nice treat for the heavily chromed machine that's looking a little dull around the forks.
