Icon Mens Automag Pants Being a cruiser rider, I'm a fan of leather due to the abrasion protection and the classic cruiser styling. I'm also a fan of Icon apparel, but they focus on the street bike crowd so most of their pants are textile. The Automag is the only mens leather pant made by Icon, so they had to take some special consideration to make these the leathers of street riders in both style and function.

The knees have removable C.E. armor right under the leather and expansion knee panels that give you a full range of motion -- a definite improvement over straight leg leathers. The combination of armor with 1.2 mm to 1.4 mm premium leather make these safe for the obstacles of street riding. Relaxed styling, modern stitch design, and the subtle black on black "Icon Moto" moniker running down the thigh keep these in line with street fashion.

Automag pants can be worn alone or as an over-pant. Be warned: the sizing assumes you're going to wear these over your jeans, and that's going to be about two sizes larger than your normal wear. Full-length zippered legs mean these are easy to put on and take off. This is a great feature if you wear them as an over-pant.

These are leather pants, so the price is higher than their textile brethren. The Automag pants will appeal to the street bike or cruiser communities with a little something for everyone.
