Rvinyl Dark Smoked Out Vinyl Cover I tend to see my bike as 90 percent function and 10 percent show. This doesn't mean that I refrain from accessories, but I won't apply anything to my bike that inhibits its performance, unless it's unbelievably neat. Not everyone shares my view, and I'm happy for that, because it means I get to see all the crazy-fun things that folks do to their bikes.

Rvinyl's Dark Smoked Out cover vinyl is unquestionably fun over function. This kit comes with a 24-inch by 72-inch sheet of 0.003-inch-thick tinted vinyl. The vinyl forms a dark film over headlights, or any other smooth surface for that matter. Nothing says mysterious like the darkly tinted shadow of a bike.

The self-adhesive film is removable, so you're not stuck with it if you decide that it's too inconvenient. This stuff can get inconvenient, as it will reduce the transmission of light if you place it over your headlights. You'll also have to check if this is street legal to have over your lights. Some states can be picky about that kind of thing, and Rvinyl notes that they only intend their tinted films for off-road show purposes.

Rvinyl is also sure to let you know these are not protective films. Rvinyl does sell protective films, but these do not fit that category and won't stop a rock from breaking your headlight.

All in all, these are for those folks who cannot hold back their desire to have the best looking ride. Also, all 1,728 square inches only cost about $28. The Rvinyl tinted covers look best on black or dark bikes, but they do sell color covers as well.
