FirstGear Rainman Jacket Hooray for rain gear! I learned a lesson last year when the remnants of hurricane Gustav came north. I was on a long trip and I knew I'd be seeing some rain so I oiled up my leather and wore rain pants. Unfortunately, the rain was too much and after overcoming the oil it just seemed to soak into my coat.

An adjustable belt will keep the jacket where you want it and there's an integrated rain hood in the collar if you need a bit more protection. The Rainman is composed of 70 denier nylon with a full nylon lining.

The Rainman Jacket comes in red, yellow, and gray with a reflective logo for visibility. If you want to get the whole ensemble, Firstgear also sells matching rain pants that are heat-resistant from knee to ankle, so you won't have to scrape molten nylon off of your pipes.

For about $70 you get more than just a parka. The Rainman has dual storm closure pockets to protect your wallet, phone, etc. from getting soaked. Even if it's 80 degrees, you can still get a nasty chill if you're soaked to the bone while you ride. Gear up, stay warm, and stay on the road.
