Saddlemen Universal Bike Bag I doubt it's intended by Saddlemen, but I like to call their Universal SSR1200 sissy bar bag "The Lunchbox." This bag is completely rigid in its construction and will hold its shape regardless of whether it's full or empty. The size (15 inches high, 10 inches wide, and 8 inches deep) is just about perfect to pack a picnic, inclusive of a couple of bottles.

This bag is made up of something called 1200 denier Saddle Tuffӓ and something we all know: vinyl. The SSR1200 is UV-resistant, water-resistant, and weather-resistant, so that picnic can happen any time and any place.

The mounting system is flexible with two adjustable-length bungees. You can strap it to your sissy bar, as the name would suggest, or a luggage rack, back seat, or just about anywhere else you please. External mesh pockets and internal organizer pockets give you a place for things you want visible or accessible. If you have to walk the last leg to your destination, the SSR1200 comes with a top-mounted carry handle and backpack straps.

The universal mounting system is a bit on the wobbly side when this bag gets heavy. To remedy this, you might want to tie the bag with non-bungee straps. Aside from this minor design flaw, you will get 1,200 cubic inches of storage for around $50.

You'll spend more for it, but the Harley-Davidson sissy bar luggage bag has a more secure mounting system -- and it's as convenient and comfortable as any other backpack.
