Tour Master Tail Bag The best thing about a tail bag, in my opinion, is that it's out of the way. I'm talking about soft-sided, easily-removable tail bags. Because they're flexible, you can stuff a ton of clothing and sundry items in them -- and because they're small, they're easy to handle. Even if you also use saddlebags or tank bags, a tail bag is a nice out-of-the-way addition for packing your pile of stuff. You might kick a tail bag when throwing a leg over, on occasion, but your foot should be okay. And don't pack any eggs in there.

The Tour Master TB-17's main compartment is double-zippered and large enough to hold a helmet. With three extra pockets and a mesh pouch, you can shove most of the parts to the kitchen sink in there, even if the sink itself won't fit. Total measured capacity is about 17 liters. Thermoplastic rubber zipper pulls make it easy to open and close each section.

Sewn from heavy-duty black nylon, the TB-17 is strong and weather resistant. This tail bag has bungee cords built into it so you can secure it to the back end of most any bike, and the bungee cords can be tucked away when not in use. It also has reflective Tour Master logos and a soft-grip carry handle.

Moderately priced, durable, and not hard to look at make this one worthy of consideration.
