Not all of us live in a house with a two-car garage these days. In fact, most people in the city who have motorcycles probably have to park them on the street or an uncovered driveway just because their apartment complex doesn't have car garages. If you're wanting someplace to protect your bike from the elements, and seriously considering moving into a house just for a garage, you might check out the CycleDome first.
The CycleDome is one of those products that you don't realize how handy it is until you use it. First of all, it's made out of polyester fabric that's laminated for water resistance. The fabric also has a UV protection to keep it from fading in the sun, and the steel frame the supports it is powder coated. It includes a hard surface anchor system which can be used for extra security in extreme wind or weather situations to keep it from flapping around. Set-up only takes a couple of minutes out of your day and only needs a pair of pliers and a screwdriver. Take-down is even easier and bundles up into a convenient storage package. It's designed to fit most motorcycles out on the market, but will probably not fit around your big cruiser, so I would check your dimensions before snagging one.
