Put all the flash and flair you want on a helmet, but the end goal is still the same. If all goes as it's meant to, your helmet will be a useless lump of expendable plastic and you'll be walking away. It's one of those few items made for quality and disposability.
The THH TX-11 motocross helmet passes the test for durability. A DOT-approved, lightweight ABS shell protects that precious skull of yours. THH likes to keep their prices down without sacrificing safety, but you'll still get all the basic comforts.
Flow-through ventilation is a provided necessity to keep fogging and heat under control, but you're still going to sweat. The liner is removable and washable. I highly recommend keeping that liner clean. The salt in sweat attracts mice that will chew up and nest in your helmet. You might not see the damage right away, and it is an extraordinarily nasty realization to pull your helmet out of storage, slip it on, and then smell the pungent aroma of mouse urine.
I like to replace my helmet every couple of years regardless of the damage it suffers, and THH prices make that possible. For the price, you're getting everything you need. A goggle grabber holds your eyewear in place, and the graphics are simple but striking. Black, grey, silver, and white are never offensive to the eye, and you won't be wearing any cartoon characters that you'll quickly outgrow.
