Jafrum's bags, which have no cleaver names like "Extreme Velocity," are surprisingly inexpensive. Thick cowhide leather is held together by reinforced stitching and a 2-year warranty. Part of that warranty includes a money back guarantee for a full year.

So, now that your mind is at ease, these bags are 15 inches long, 12 inches high, and 7 inches wide. The inside is laminated with rubber, and the outside is chrome studded. Mounting is easy with leather tie-downs and an adjustable center strap. The architecture is made to prevent tire rubbing and flopping.

If you like to compartmentalize and organize, you might want to look at a set of synthetic sport bags. The Jafrum bags are very basic, but they do boast a classic cruiser style that will meld in with any cruiser make.

The two striking most features of these saddlebags are the price and the leather. If you're looking for leather that isn't so expensive that it must have once-shrouded Kobe beef, these may be right for you and your bike.

They're more comfortable, they say. They let you ride longer and stronger, they say. Well, Arlen Ness has told the collective to go take a long ride off a short pier with their Torpedo foot pegs.

Narrow and to the point -- pointed, in fact -- these pegs have a polished chrome finish with spots of rubber for grip. The title of "Torpedo" was given to these pegs to emphasize their unique shape. A gradual widening toward the end and then a fast taper give these a shape not often seen in pegs.

The unique shape may actually be the downfall of the Torpedo pegs. Personally, I know I would jab my leg on them. I'm not known for my grace. The narrow design also leaves the rider with a small grip area. Rotate your foot too much, and you'll be left with the friction of polished metal -- and that's not much.

Created for their look more than their function, they are pretty. Embodying a rejection of the increasing comfort of bikes that threatens to place them into the lot with cars, the Torpedo pegs do stand out. I wouldn't go so far as to slap these on a bike that is otherwise stock, but if you have been piecing together the machine of your dreams, and it's a rambunctious rabble rouser, these will be well suited.

Arlen Ness sells an optional shift peg that matches the Torpedo foot pegs. If you're getting one, it makes sense to get the other.

Well known and well worn, many riders stick with these when it comes time to get a new pair of boots. There are numerous reasons why these have developed such a loyal following in the community, and I'll touch on a few.

Starting with the external construction, the Tech 8 has a full grain leather upper. A rubber gaiter at the top keeps out mud and rain, and contoured shin and calf protectors are injected with high modulus PU for superior impact and abrasion resistance.

The inner side panels are stamped suede laminated with aluminum. This design aids the rider in grip and prevents heat damage. Riders will be thrilled to find that the self-aligning quick lock and release buckles are also aluminum. These won't break easily like some other brands that shall go unnamed.

Replaceable shock absorbers mount on the shin and instep. Stamped steel protects the heel and sole, and there are more PU-injected plates and panels than you can shake a stick at. All of these protective features are balanced with comfort features. Many of the panels are perforated to allow for ventilation, which is aided by the breathable lining. Flex panels permit unrestricted movement where you need it, and I'm sure the box comes with a coupon for a free unicorn.

This boot has just about everything you could ever want in a riding boot and a price tag that will bring you crashing back to earth. Reality is inescapable. Most products have a few key points that can be covered quickly, but I encourage you to do some research on the Tech 8 because the feature list goes on and on.

Don't let the injection molded armor stop at your feet, though.

It would seem logical to have a round grip of rubber or foam because these materials offer vibration absorption and traction. The hand, however, has variable pressure positions, and most grips do not take this into account.

Harley's Aileron grip provides a solid chrome ridge for your fingers to rest around and a chrome panel for your thumb. The rest of the grip is friction-providing rubber to hold your glove as you roll the throttle. One might think that the strategically placed chrome would be too stiff and unforgiving, but the contours ease your fingers from one surface to the next and offer a reassuring place to grasp and better tactile feedback on the throttle.

The combination of materials gives the Aileron a beautiful contrast that brings out the chrome. In addition to the ridge, which extends to the end of the grip, the Aileron has a chrome ring base. Since they are so pretty, Harley designed these grips with a glue-less installation to ensure you'll be able to take them off and put them on without messing them up.

A 1.5 inch diameter gives these grips a comfortable resting width. My natural grip is not perfectly round -- it is more oblong, so the chrome ridge will nestle right behind the finger joints and lessen fatigue. At around $70, these are a reasonable deal for Harley grips with the added beauty of chrome.

Some of their products bridge both of these worlds, and I would be inclined to say that this is the case for the SP-2 gloves. Realistically they're more track than travel, but they offer everything that either could need.

The majority of the glove is constructed of full-grain leather. The SP-2 provides excellent abrasion resistance. The carbon fiber knuckle protector and micro-injected finger knuckle protectors distribute and cushion impact. The list of protective paneling and reinforcement goes on and on: rubber pad inserts on the palm, leather reinforced thumb, EVA padded and extended wrist protector, etc. etc.

Safe? Absolutely. The SP-2 has added flexibility to all of that protection with joint appropriate articulation. A few synthetics have been thrown in here and there to make these gloves lighter. Personally, I think more should have been done for airflow. The lax ventilation brings these back to the realm of terrain-specific functionality.

The SP-2 boasts a futuristic look with myriad materials that vary in color. The black, blue, and red gloves have white fingers and logos. They are a superb choice for the track, and a decent choice for the road.

I'll paint my tank and then want to change it again a week later. I can't stand things staying the same. I need the Kuryakyn ISO-Grips.

In their default state, these grips have a chrome caging around the ISO pads. Air can pass between the pads, keeping your palms cool in the heat of summer, and considering the last few days have been in the 90s here, that sounds awfully nice.

Now, why are these good for the mercurial personality? Well, the ends of these grips are attached with four little screws. Those screws also allow you to add a variety of end caps, colorful knurled accent rings, an ISO-Throttle Boss, and the list goes on and on.

The ISO-Grips come completely apart, letting you clean any gunk that works its way into your grips. Keeping these things clean is important, because if they aren't clean, no one will know how great they look. The chrome frame is a fantastic accent for any bike, and black rubber pads are not going to clash.

For $50 to $70, these are a freaking steal. I normally don't get that excited about the price of grips, but the versatility of the ISO-Grips shows ingenuity and consideration to the individual desires of the rider. Good job, Kuryakyn.

You can even take it up another notch with heated hand grips in the wintertime.
