As I have mentioned in other reviews, I live and ride in Arizona. The summer riding season is hot, hot, hot. One of the worst things a rider can do is forego protective riding gear because of the temperature. With this in mind, I'm sure why you can see why mesh gear is popular in my home state. I have owned and ridden in mesh jackets and even mesh pants. However, I have never owned mesh street gloves, so these Scorpion Cool Hand Mesh gloves are of particular interest to me.
The Scorpion Mesh gloves are constructed for comfort with "Powerstretch" knuckles and an articulated back. They also have silicon traction pads in the palm, and four-box panel precurved fingers help you keep your grip. They will certainly not offer the protection of a fully armored leather glove. However, they will be a layer between your palm and the pavement in case of a crash. Again, it is better to be wearing gloves rather than going bare-handed because of the heat.
The gloves come in six color combinations. With black as the base color, the accent colors are blue, silver, yellow, white, red, and all black. Rider reviews are positive about these gloves, but they do often mention that ordering up one size is a good idea as they tend to run small.
