Indoor Bike Cover Fabric

Roadgear Hibernator Indoor Bike CoverBack in school a few years ago, a teacher dubbed me The Man from Plaid. She had a distinct disdain for plaid. Not one who enjoys being singled out or pigeon-holed (does anyone?), I promptly switched to single-color and simpler print flannel shirts. Plaid had nothing to do with it; I just like flannel. It's comfortable on my skin.

Roadgear's Hibernator is a flannel cover for your bike. Double-brushed flannel, that is, meaning it's very soft. The cover is meant for indoors, of course, due to flannel's sponge-like affinity for moisture, and intended primarily as a dust cover. This material will not scratch your paint or plastics and breathes well, thus preventing condensation. It's a good idea for a dusty shop or garage, and one more way to pamper your bike.

The Hibernator comes in three sizes: Small, for up to 900cc; Jumbo, for greater than 900cc; and Mega, for the biggest bikes and a closer fit to the ground. Your color choice is: red. And because the cover is washable - and red - you'll want to wash it by itself in cold water. A company representative told me it'll bleed like a sunset the first three washes, but even after three times it's probably best washed by itself. And it could make it easier to find your bike in the garage, too, like a red flag or something.
