Renthal Rear Sprockets

Chainwheels Chrome Molybdenum

Renthal Rear Sprockets Renthal's manufacturing is based in Manchester, but the company is known around the world for their quality handlebars and chainwheels (sprockets). Heavily involved in every type of motorcycle competition, they continuously develop their products from the knowledge gained through racing. With plenty of competitors in this same market, Renthal manages to maintain a top spot, and has done so in America since the early 1990's.

Their front sprockets are made from case-hardened nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel. Front sprockets take the most punishment as they are smaller and deliver all of the torque from the transmission to the rear wheel. Anything softer than hardened steel wears too quickly or could possibly break apart from the torque.

Renthal's rear sprockets cover a variety of applications:

The Ultralight is cut from 7075 T6 aluminum and weighs 66% less than steel. These are meant for off-road applications such as Enduros, Supercross, and Motocross racing.

Hard-anodized sprockets are made specifically for road-racing. Of the same metal as the Ultralight, this sprocket is given an additional surface coating, or anodizing, which increases its durability and longevity.

The Twinring is their toughest and longest lasting sprocket. Intended for off-road use, it has a center of 7075 T6 aluminum, while the outer ring and teeth are of electroless nickel-plated steel (Electroless, or EN, is a chemical nickel-plating technique).

For Ducati owners, they offer the Ducati Carrier, a bolt-on center mount separate from the sprocket that allows sprocket changes to be made without having to remove the carrier.

And all of their sprockets are available in whatever gearing ratios you need.
