I have four bags on my bike: a fork bag, a saddlebag on each side, and a tail bag. My saddlebags are my main storage area because the others are small, but if I had the Nelson-Rigg CL-200 tail pack, I could really clean up the look of my bike.
The pack itself is constructed of UV-treated Tri-Max ballistic nylon and has a lined interior and reflective webbing. Fail-safe zippers and a protective base to prevent slipping add to the practicality of this expandable tail bag.
The CL-200 goes from a capacity of 30.68 L to 38.35 L. Despite the extra storage space, this pack will hold its shape when it's either full or empty. The main compartment will even accommodate a full face helmet. This is wonderful news for those of us who have ever hung a helmet on our handlebars and then had it rain -- squishy and moist is not how I like my helmets.
In addition to this massive main compartment, there are side pockets for odds and ends. With all of this available space, you could take off those cumbersome saddlebags and add to the aerodynamic capabilities of your machine.
There are a few drawbacks. This is a silly one, but I like to get on my bike by throwing my leg over the back. A high-set tail pack requires one to demonstrate a weird level of flexibility or step over. Other than that, the CL-200 a great bag that is also ready to mount with Nelson-Rigg saddlebags.
