Nelson-Rigg Dayrunner Tail Bag Nelson-Rigg's Dayrunner confuses me. It's a great piece of luggage, but I don't understand the name. With 33.63 liters of storage space, this bag is for more than a day run. Unless you're running away from your old life and going where the road takes you... and happen to be doing it in the day, but that's a stretch. Perhaps it's for the rider who's looking to chase the sun west.

No matter your purposes, the Dayrunner is a bag for any trip where you need some storage. This bag will mount to a luggage rack or to the passenger seat with the "Full-Nelson" mounting system. If you really are running off to start a new life, the Dayrunner has extra buckles to attach Nelson-Rigg roll bags.

A fully-lined rigid interior lets the Dayrunner hold its shape and prevents sagging and buckling under the vibration of the bike. This bag sagging would be a serious problem, because it stands nearly 20 inches high.

Although I wouldn't call this an easy carry, the Dayrunner does have riveted and padded carrying handles and backpack straps. If you don't want to lug this thing around, it also comes with a security combination lock and a loop underneath for a cable lock.

Road-worthy luggage, the Dayrunner has reflective webbing and a rain cover, and the pull fobs on the zippers are designed for operation by gloved hands. In addition to the main compartment, the Dayrunner has four side pockets for things you might need frequent access to on the the road.

This is a nice, high-set piece of luggage. I wouldn't outfit a sport bike with this rig, but it's perfect for a cruiser on its way out of town, and it's just over $100.
