If you've never ridden a bike with a fairing or any sort of windscreen, consider trying it out. It may not be your cup of tea, but it'll definitely show you an aspect of riding you wouldn't otherwise notice. Even a small wind-breaking shield can make a major difference in the amount of forward head-buffeting you receive, and likely reduce the number of bugs you eat or have to clean from your face-shield.
The F16 Tour Shield is a small sport-type windscreen. It's the type you look over when riding, not through, and it's swept back for that "sporty" look. This one comes in two heights: 10-1/4 inches and 13-1/4 inches, measured from the top of the headlight. And it's available in your choice of a medium (almost clear) or dark tint. Both are made from Lexan FMR polycarbonate, reportedly 35 times stronger than acrylic. The FMR part is a surface chemical hard-coating that further protects the Lexan from scratches and abrasions.
An installation hardware kit may be necessary for your particular application, but is included in the price. And at under a hundred bucks, this is a fairly subtle and affordable addition to your bike, if you happen to be in the market for such.
