I learned to ride when I was just a kid, but it wasn't until I was a grown woman that I decided that I needed my own bike. Me being a tiny little thing, it naturally made sense that my first bike would be a 250 Rebel.
The 250 Rebel is made by Honda, looks a lot like a baby Harley, and has a ton of style for a very small bike. It's reliable, easy to maneuver, and an excellent learning bike. But it is, however,
extremely small. Back when I got my Rebel, Honda wasn't making them new anymore, and you had to find them used. Honda had made a very limited number of "Gold" Rebels, with gold tones on the engine and gold wings on the tank. Very, very pretty. I painted mine champagne pink, keeping the gold emblem. And I rode it for a long time, but because it was so small, I had to find tiny saddle bags for it and gave up on the idea of a tail rack, since they just couldn't be found.
Now that Honda has realized just how cool, gas efficient, and urban the Honda Rebel is (and are now making new Rebels), accessories are becoming more available. This luggage rack bolts up to the rear fender in three places for secure, stable installation. No drilling is required and it attaches in minutes. It is made of chrome plating and is both shiny and durable. It measures approximately 6 3/4 x 7 1/2 inches, and costs just over a hundred dollars.
This Rear Mini Rack is not only convenient for carrying small items using bungee cords, but you can attach a small-ish trunk bag to the rack as well. And even though it's listed as model-specific to the Rebel, you can attach it to your other bikes, too, as long as it fits.
