If you need just a little more space, however, Harley-Davidson's Air Wing Tour-Pak luggage rack will provide.

This is a full-size rack that mounts over a Tour-Pak. The rack itself is designed to set low and protect your Tour-Pak from scratches. An upward angle keeps your bags from slowing vibrating their way back and knocking your passenger in the head. Harley wants you to know that your options don't stop with the rack and provides optional light kits to increase your vertical visibility.

Constructed of light-weight steel tubing, this rack has been plated with copper, then nickel, and finally finished with chrome-plating. That chrome comes to you after being hand polished to a mirror shine. All joints are neatly welded, and the rack kit comes with mounting hardware.

Big baggers usually ride two-up, and a week's gear for two light packers is still a lot. Having a rack provides for a secure point of attachment, but with so many pieces of luggage that are now non-scratch and rubberized, I'm not sure how necessary this rack really is if scratching is your main concern. The added stability and attachment versatility of a proper rack may very well be worth the asked $160, it all depends on how you travel.
