I don't care what your opinion is about personal protection gear for the daily ride, but riding motocross is different. You're going to lose some skin when you're not wearing the right apparel. Never going down means you're not trying hard enough. It's an expected (and nearly required) hazard of the sport.
Some folks like flashy gear, but you can't go wrong with black on white. The Fox 180 motocross pants are very similar to their Honda 180 gear. If you wanted those pants but are not a Honda rider, these will have everything you need with only the Fox logo on the leg.
A pre-curved race construction won't give any resistance when you're in position, and stretch panels in the back, knees, and crotch will let you move without hassle. Leather patches protect the rider from the heat and abrasion. You probably don't think a little rain should take you off the track, and neither does Fox. So they've made the 180 pants water-repellent.
I could do without the pinstripe pattern; pinstripes only look good on roaring 20's gangsters. Fortunately, the pinstripe is not pronounced, and the full design of the 180 -- with prominent double-needle stitch lines and white accents -- make up for any aesthetic drawback. If you just can't stand the stripes, the 180 comes with seven color and pattern options.
