Cobra Sparky Exhaust Get caught riding on public land of any sort without a spark arrestor and you not only risk getting a hefty ticket, you risk burning down my riding area. Seriously, not sporting a spark arrestor is a bad idea, and only gives all the environmentalists more ammo in their fight to shut down more acres of public land.

That being said, aftermarket exhaust systems are not cheap, especially if you ride a four-stroke. Aftermarket spark arrestors can easily reach up into the $500-$800 range.

Enter the Cobra Sparky. Designed for the budget conscious and those that may only dabble in the off-road experience, this puppy easily attaches to the back of almost any exhaust on almost any bike.

US Forest Service approved, the Cobra Universal Spark Arrestor promises spark-free riding with no power loss. The opening is 2 1/4 inches wide and bolts on using a simple metal hose clamp. Take a little extra care when clamping this on, though, as this method of attachment is by no means perfect. It would probably be worth it to check it out on the trail a few times as well.

Now let's be honest: this thing isn't gonna win you or your bike any beauty contests. It is an eyesore to say the least. For what it does though, and the relatively low cost, it's a pretty attractive deal.
