My knowledge of women's clothing can be summed up in a simple sentence: "I like it." As to what brand, or its specific attributes that make it appealing, I have no clue. I've just learned at an early age that it's best just to say those three words in order to avoid any "unexpected conflicts" that could arise. Not because of my lack of contentment in the clothing, but because of my lack of knowledge. These Shift Women's Denim Street Motorcycle Pants are made out of a mixture of 12-ounce denim and stretch spandex, which provides greater abrasion resistance and protection all the while being able to hug those curves. If that wasn't enough, there are reinforced panels in the saddle, thigh, and knees to maximize the protection, and you know what those areas are reinforced with? 100% Kevlar, baby. Though not tested to stop a bullet, they should hold up well in the event of a spill. These jeans also feature five pockets, none are zipping however, but it makes these feel like a regular pair of jeans even more. They're available in women's sizes ranging from 0-16.

Picture your perfect motorcycle jacket. Does it have obnoxious logos printed or stitched everywhere on it just to promote a company? I don't get to go out and ride dirt bikes as much as I'd like. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that feels that way, too. If these boots were made for walking, they probably wouldn't make very good motorcycle boots. I'm not saying that they're uncomfortable to walk in, but I would suggest breaking them in a little bit before walking a marathon in them. My experience has always been that if you don't take the time to break in your gear, well, you're not riding your bike enough. That could be said for any sport though, really, but back to the boots. They're 8 inches high, which is nice if you're not the kind of person who likes having motorcycle boots riding all the way up your calf. They use the Goodyear Welt Construction method, which basically means that they'll last longer and be more comfortable the more you break them in. The upper leather is oil tanned to give it that classic leather boot look. The lug sole is a neoprene oil-resistant material, which will help make sure that your foot doesn't slip out from under you if you hit an oil spot at a traffic light or stop sign. If you're not down for the pink, you might not be down for these Olympia gloves, but they're a decent pair of gloves for the price. Okay, you can get them in other colors like blue and hi-viz, but why would you? Also, they come in sizes ranging from small to x-large.

Kevlar Draggin’ Shirt, Black Mesh | Motorcycle Unisex Undershirt by Fasst

I'm a fan of pretty much anything that saves my skin. Sure, I try not to cry in front of the ladies if I cut myself with a knife or slam my finger in the car door, but that's just to look tough. I don't think I'd get up and brush off a fall from my bike where the skin from my shoulder is gone. The cool thing is that there are products like this Kevlar undershirt that can protect without making you look too "geared up."

Fasst makes this Kevlar Mesh Motorcycle undershirt called the Draggin' Shirt. Made out of 100% Kevlar, this shirt is designed to save the skin on your arms, back, and chest from coming into contact with the asphalt and causing some major pain. I don't, however, recommend trying to jump in front of bullets, though; it's not designed for that. The mesh design helps circulate air to keep you cool in the summer and can act like a pair of long johns in the winter for extra warmth. The arms are longer cut than most sweatshirts to accommodate for the riding position, and being unisex helps keep everyone protected. The shoulders and elbows have a double layer of Kevlar protection, too. They're made in the USA, which is always a big plus (go economy!). The only thing I've found is that though the Draggin' Shirt is comfortable, it's still a little rough right up against your skin. I recommend wearing a thin undershirt beneath this guy, but my skin is like a delicate flower, so maybe it won't bug you at all.

Part of the reason why I tend to not want to wear protective riding pants is because of how bulky most of them can feel when you've got a big engine and gas tank in between your legs. I'm not comfortable if the fabric is too tight, and I don't have very much room to move around when I want to. I feel like that would be the same case for most riders out there, too.

They pretty much make any pair of jeans or slacks an instant pair of riding pants that can protect you in the event of an unexpected spill. Due to its unique mesh knit of 100% Kevlar, these liners are highly abrasion resistant, though your normal pair of jeans on the outside won't be. I'd recommend riding with a pair of pants that you're not going to miss if you happen to wreck and tear a hole in them. Draggin' put an extra layer of Kevlar in the knees and the seat area for added protection, too. Each pair of these Kevlar Liners are hand-made in the USA, so you know you're getting a good quality product.

These mesh liners are comfortable and breathable and will help circulate air during the summer, but will also help insulate you during the winter as an undergarment. The elastic on the bottom helps keep the liners from riding up on you, too.

Let's do some word association:

I'll say a word and you say the first thing that pops in your head. First word: "Road Rash" (you probably thought of "Ouch"). Second word: "Naked Leather" (maybe you thought of a shaved cow running through a busy mall?). Last word: "Protection" (perhaps an image of an army tank came into mind).

The River Road Laredo Men's Cruiser Glove is designed for the motorcyclist on a budget. It's made out of genuine naked cowhide leather, which is leather that is generally smooth on one side and slightly rougher on the other. There's a gel pad located in the palm area that is designed to add extra protection in the event of an accident, but also to provide protection from shaken nerves on your hands on longer rides. Essentially, the gel absorbs some of the vibration from the handlebars to make your hands less shaky. The adjustable wrist strap is used to tighten the gloves on and keeps them in place. Joe Rocket Suzuki SuperSport Motorcycle Jacket | Armored GSXR White, Blue, Orange, Red & Black

I've always been a Honda fan, probably stemming back to the first motorcycle I ever owned. It wasn't the prettiest thing out on the streets, but I had a blast on it, and it ran well with very little maintenance. Olympia Monsoon Motorcycle Gloves | Men’s Classic Black Waterproof Leather

If you've ever wanted to know what it would feel like to put one of your appendages in a meat grinder and watch as your skin peels off of the muscle in your palm, then try getting into a wreck on your motorcycle without wearing a pair of gloves. I've made that mistake once, and I can honestly say that picking gravel out of your hand for the weeks to follow is not a fun task. It seems like such a silly thing, though, having to put gloves on every time you go for a ride, but it only takes a split second for someone to pull out in front of you and cause you to go down, hand-first, on the asphalt.

So, enough of my ramblings on the safeness of the matter. Think about a pair of the Monsoon Classic Motorcycle Gloves made by Olympia if you're looking for an inexpensive solution for your hands. They're made out of treated leather and are 100% waterproof. They have good padding on the palms and the knuckles for that added little bit of protection. They can clip together like a pair of ski gloves to keep them from getting separated when you're not using them, and the strap around the wrist ensures that you've got a nice tight fit. Not the best gloves out on the market, but a great deal for something from Olympia.
