Camelbak LUXE Backpack The Camelbak L.U.X.E. is made for women. Yeah, I didn't think gender would be a sticking point with a Camelbak hydration pack either, but then again there has always been a sternum strap on my backpack that I've never used because it fit... oddly.

Camelbak's L.U.X.E. is designed for women in more ways than a sternum strap made for her comfort. The L.U.X.E. is shorter for smaller torsos, and the adjustable harness curves to fit the unique lines of women's bodies. Aside from these architectural advantages, the L.U.X.E. is the same great hydration system that Camelbak is known to make.

A 3-liter capacity reservoir sits in an insulated pouch to keep your cold water cold. Having a cool, refreshing drink without having to stop is much better than pulling a water bottle out of an exhaust-heated saddlebag while surrounded by the smells of a gas station. The convenience of a Camelbak will help keep you hydrated, even if you're normally neglectful and later regretful as you load up on aspirin to dull your dehydration headache.

The L.U.X.E. has soft Velvetex-lined harness straps and a mesh back panel to allow airflow. You also won't have to forgo storage, as the pack has several additional storage compartments including an accessible, weather-resistant mp3 pocket.

If you need only a hydration system and none of the other frills, there are cheaper models and competing brands. As it stands, the L.U.X.E. runs at around $90, but the unique fitment does make it a tempting alternative to poorly-suited packs that are either designed for men or some compromised sense of universality.
