You'd think that someone designing a product for motorcycles would have more sense than to call it a bike diaper. The last associations I'd like to make with my bike are of parenting or incontinence. I'm going to call it an oil sling.
The oil sling mounts to the bike using a harness and comes with an absorbent pad to soak up oil drips. The pads can be changed without too much trouble and rests on a soft canvas tray, so there's no chance of dinging up your chrome. Constructed of oil resistant nylon, the 15-inch by 26-inch sling straps secure with quick-release buckles.
If you take really good care of your garage, this will help prevent unexpected oil stains. The sling is great when your bike has a drip and you need to wait for the parts to come before you fix it, or if you want to move a drippy bike without leaving a trail. There is no restriction on moving the bike with the sling in place. Some bikes, especially the really old Harley machines, just leak inexplicably, but that's no reason for your garage floor to be an oil-slicked mess.
For myself, I won't be ordering one of these. My garage floor is cracked, pitted, and was stained with oil long before I moved in. You, on the other hand, might consider your workspace as your show space. Using the sling is also a kindness if you rent. You get the sling and absorbent pad for around $20.
