The Alpinestars ATL jacket is no exception. The first thing that stands out is that nothing really stands out. The sleek Alpinstars logo is not too gaudy or overbearing. The jacket itself is made from 1.2 to 1.4mm full-grain leather and is plenty tough. Perforated leather panels on the shoulders, inner arms, and upper back help keep you cool in the sun. The elbows and shoulders sport CE-certified protection. The back and chest areas feature pockets with protection pads that can be removed and replaced with the company's Bionic Chest and Back Guards if you want even more protection. The removable vest liner has the same internal pocket setup as the jacket, which is actually fantastic as it helps you maintain your routine of putting your stuff in the same pockets no matter if it's warm or cold. The waist is totally adjustable via some Velcro straps and it features heavy-duty zippers so you can connect the jacket to your Alpinestars pants if you so desire.

This jacket is a high quality leather jacket with a high price tag. The upside is the people at Alpinestars really know what they are doing. This jacket is a great example of how it is actually possible for style and function to live in peaceful harmony. Now get out there and rip up the road!
