Alpinestars Air Flo Pants These Alpinestars riding pants are made of thick polyester, grade 1200-denier and 600-denier. Denier refers to the thickness of the fabric. 1200-denier is thicker. To give you some perspective, excellent luggage is often made out of 1200-denier fabric.

The pants are sewn with multiple main seams to resist tearing and they include mesh panels for cooling. They also include knee and tibia protectors (the tibia is the inner and thicker of the two bones of the human leg between the knee and ankle, Bob). They are beautifully constructed with a pre-curved design for maximum riding comfort.

The pants include removable knee sliders for extra armor. They also include (a brilliant idea, and long overdue) a waist connection to attach an Alpinestars leather or fabric jacket. And, last but not least, they are embellished with embroidered logos. They come in black only so if you're looking for fire engine red, you're out of luck.

These pants are wonderful for summer riding but not to be confused with leather - lighter and more comfortable, they will not protect you as well as leather if you go down. The pants come in men's even European sizes, 44 to 60, which is U.S. sizes 28 to 44.
