The full-grain leather ranges from 1.2 to 1.4 millimeters, making this a moderately lightweight jacket. That provides the abrasion resistance without being too bulky. Included is a thermal inner vest for extra warmth, if the leather isn't enough.
The shoulder and elbow pads are removable and are CE-rated. That CE-rating is the European Union's highest rank for this type of pad. The back features a compartment for a protective pad. Included is a foam pad that is not CE-rated, but CE-rated ones are available separately.
